This book offered useful information that was not available at either of those resources. The two books in this series made sense and gave me a firm understanding of the basics of Adobe Captivate. The hands-on exercises were practical and well laid out to take you through the training. I'm new to Captivate, but this book didn't offer anything I hadn't figured out on my own. I should of known NOT to make this purchase when there wasn't a preview of the information available.
I would imagine the author doesn't want to "teach" you too much in one book, after all, why would you need to buy the other. Very easy to follow and learn. Fantastic book! I would highly recommend this book to anyone wanting to learn the more moderately advanced features of Captivate 9. I keep having to Google what I need because I can't find it in the book.
